This Week:

March 8th - 12th, 2010

Food and nutrition was our theme this week.  We studied each of the 5 food groups.  The children did a great job brainstorming foods for each food group; vegetables and fruits get a little tricky.  Next week we are looking forward to making our own lunch on Thursday.  We will be finishing this unit up next week.

We finished chapter10 in our math series on money.  We reviewed Wednesday, had a store on Thursday, and took our test on Friday.  We all still could use a little more practice counting, and identifying the coins by name and value.

Literacy & Language

Sharing

Tuesday - Emergency Card
Our class books will be coming home from now until they have all been circulated to each family.  You may not get one each night because I 'only' have 18, but it should be close.  I will not send a new book until you've returned the first one.  Let me know if you have questions.
